Cultivating Community at The Orangery TCR

by | Apr 10, 2026

At The Orangery TCR, we’re passionate about sustainable, nutritious food that brings people together and makes a real difference in our community. That’s why we are excited to launch our community programme, a welcoming space for Camden residents to connect, learn, and explore wellbeing. The programme includes a variety of educational, wellness, and sustainability activities, using food experiences to inspire learning, build connections, and raise awareness of the importance of sustainability.

One of our first initiatives in this programme is the Monthly Harvest. Each month our community manager, Idris Odusanya leads this initiative to share chemical-free, freshly harvested produce from our hydroponic farm with the local community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see hydroponic farming in action and see how our crops are tended.  You can catch a glimpse of Idris and the initiative in action here.

Workshops are also a part of this project and for Camden residents it offers an opportunity to connect with their neighbourhood through activities like drop-in clinics, walking workshops, community discussions, and, of course, the Harvest initiative itself.

Our workshops offer practical knowledge that supports healthier lifestyles and personal development. From talks on diet and mental health to exploring how food choices affect mood, focus, and overall wellbeing, each session empowers participants to make more mindful choices.

Sustainability shapes everything we do, and we’re proud to share this initiative with our community through guided farm tours and dedicated talks. Participants are encouraged to explore activities whether educational, wellness-focused, or sustainability-driven to inspire wellbeing and health.

The Harvest initiative runs from 10:30 – 11:30am on the last Thursday of every month. It’s the perfect way to engage with the local community, learn about hydroponic farming and see it in action while being able to take home fresh, healthy produce with a story.

We look forward to making The Orangery TCR a shared space for Camden’s community. A place where people feel welcomed, inspired, and empowered to take small steps toward healthier, more sustainable living.
